Dalson Energy Projects

Upper Tanana Biomass CHP Project

Alaska Power & Telephone (AP&T), in collaboration with Nexterra and GE Energy, the communities of Tok, Tetlin, Tanacross and Dot Lake, with assistance from Dalson Energy, propose to deploy a “State of the Technology” community-scale Biomass CHP (combined heat and power) system that will offset diesel power generation, using locally-sourced woody biomass as fuel. See Upper Tanana project page for more detail

Bering Sea Driftwood Biomass Heating Project

IRA Building

The Stebbins Community Association, with funding from DOE’s EECBG program, Alaska Energy Authority, Alaska Heat Technologies, and assistance from Alaska Project Solutions and Dalson Energy, is deploying a biomass thermal energy pilot project to accomplish several goals:

Boiler in a Box Project

Dalson Energy is working with Alaska agencies and private manufacturers to develop a template design of a “Boiler in a Box” so that wood-fired boilers can be pre-plumbed and pre-wired into a shipping container for “Plug & Burn” deployment in rural communities.

The advantages include:

Cordova NVE Biomass Heat Feasibility Study

Dalson Energy completed a feasibility study and renewable energy planning study for the Native Village of Eyak, in Cordova Alaska. The study was supported by a grant from Alaska Energy Authority, using public funds, View the Cordova NVE Biomass Heat Feasibility Study

Aniak

Dalson Energy is currently working on a community energy plan for the community of Aniak. Due in 2011

Akiak

Dalson is working on biomass energy feasibility study for the community of Akiak. Due late 2010.

Chilkat

Dalson Energy recently completed a consulting assignment for the community of Chilkat.

Kaltag

Dalson Energy is currently working with the Yukon-Koyukuk School District on a Feasibility Study for Biomass Thermal Energy for the school in Kaltag, and possibly similar systems for other schools in the District.
